It was our High school retreat nung last ako nakita Baguio so I decided to stay there for 4 days with friends. We took the bus and the trip was an excruciating 7 hour ride. I slept and expected the Baguio that I knew. W got there. took a cab and went straight to Camp John Hay to stay at the Igorot Lodge. Had lunch at Carlos Pizza. Then off to Session Road.
I was shocked because the Baguio that I knew was clean and there wasn’t a lot of people around. Now Baguio is so dirty. It’s sad because I really like Baguio. It’s my favorite place in the P.I.
PANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Makes me wanna go to China.
Are there pandas in Taiwan?

I have never found a shop here in manila that sells violin sheet music. Not the book or the collection of sheet music. I want individual sheet music. I have been to almost all of the bookstores in manila, went to quiapo and shops that sells musical instruments but still no sheet music.
When I went back to Greece 2 years ago, I found this little shop in Ermou that only sells sheet music. I was so amazed that I actually forgotten what to buy. so I just grabbed a copy of Tartini’s Devil’s Trill Sonata for piano and violin, Vivaldi’s Summer: 3rd movement and Concerto in A minor: 1st and 3rd movement. Now that I have so much in mind to buy, I dunno where to buy one.
Yesterday, my friend/blockmate Joyce who is also a violinist, gave me a number of a guy who has a vast collection of sheet music. She told me that this guy orders abroad and sell these sheet music at a very affordable prize. So I texted the guy and our conversation went on like this.
Me: Good afternoon, I was told by Ms. Alviar that you sells sheet music. I was just wondering if you have the original four seasons by vivaldi.
Mr. Edgardo: Pre-order. We have chin rests, pegs, neck pieces and string. Who is this by the way?
Me: I’m Cid. So do you have these pieces that i’m looking for?
Mr. Edgardo: We have customized violin cases and bows. We also engrave letters on your violin.
(By this time, I was kinda annoyed because it’s like he’s avoiding my questions)
Me: That’s nice but do you have the titles that I’m looking for?
Mr. Edgardo: For music sheets, please visit us at ____________________. Pls. come next week. and yes, we have the titles that you are looking for.
Me: That’s great. Do I have to come on a weekday or a weekend?
Mr. Edgardo: Anytime nextweek.
Me: Ok thank you. How much do you charge for a sheet music?
Mr. Edgardo: Don’t bother about paying. I’ll give you the sheets for free. I’m currently organizing a music foundation that gives assistance to music lovers and practitioners in the Philippines. I’ll see you next week.
Me: Ok. Again, thank you. I wish you luck on your foundation.
I felt bad. because I was actually thinking of pissing him off through text because I thought he was avoiding my question earlier. But then I found out that this Mr. Eduardo is a shining light for those who wants to learn to play or create music but lacks the resources. I apologize for judging you without knowing you (even if it was just in my mind). peace!
Here’s Summer: 3rd movement. Performed by Valerie Kim.
Look out Vanessa-Mae.

A divorce lawyer by profession and a match maker by night. The character “Kate Fox” is based on the real life story of Samantha Daniels. The series has 18 episodes but only 11 episodes was aired.
I find this series adorable, maybe because i miss seeing Alicia Silverstone on the big screen, I can settle with watching her on my laptop. This series is a nice weekend watch. Although it may be too adorable for some people, but everybody needs a little romantic comedy shit once in a while. Plus David Conrad is cute.

I’m obsessed with Tori Amos. I have all her albums (from Under the Pink to A Piano: A Tori Amos Collection), some singles, her Piece by Piece book, the Fade to Red DVD, Welcome to Sunny Florida DVD and some song books. I am now looking for a copy of the album from her old band “Y Kant Tori Read”. I have downloaded it years ago but I want the original.
Here’s a video from the album called “Big Picture”.
The hair! the hair! I don’t like most of the songs from the album but I still want it.
I love this song though…
“Cool on your Island” (Not the real video, fan-made)
Cool on Your Island
If you don’t treat me better
Baby I’ll just run away
Baby I don’t know what drives you
To play all these silly games
C’mon baby
I’m much stronger than you know
Sometimes
I’m not afraid to let it show
When will you wake up
I want you more than the stars and the sun
But I can take only so much
Cool on your island
Is it cool on your island
I gotta brand new dress babe
Could it make you wanna try
I guess I didn’t want to notice
The stars gone from your eyes
C’mon baby
I’m much stronger than you know
Sometimes
I’m not afraid to let it show
When will you wake up
I want you more than the stars and the sun
But I can take only so much
Cool on your island
Is it cool on your island
We could buy an airplane
Build a home in the sand
You could tell your secrets
I could understand
But then by the morning
Comes crumblin’ down
And as your leavin’
Wait
When will you wake up
I want you more than the stars and the sun
But I can take only so much
Cool on your island
Is it cool, baby
When will you wake up
I want you more than the stars and the sun
But I can take only so much
Cool on your island
You’re so cool on your island
Is it cool on your island
Is it cool baby
If you don’t treat me better
Baby I’ll just run away
Cool on your island
If you don’t treat me
One day you’ll wake up cold
Yeah, then you’ll know
You’ll know
You’ll know
You love me

From an unknown girl band to the Black Eyed Peas to doing a solo album and getting featured by almost every artist, Fergie has so much money that she uses LV tissues. (I’ve read it somewhere, I’m not really sure if LV tissues really exist. Check the LV tissue issue on Milkfat.) But I’m still not a Fergie Fan.
Now, Koda Kumi featured her on one of her song (or is it the other way around? because fergie practically sang everything.) Koda Kumi is pretty. I love her face. in fact, the face of Yuna on Final Fantasy X-2 was based on Kumi’s face. She also sang “Real Emotion” and “1000 Words” which was the soundtrack of the said game.
Anyway, here’s a video called “That Ain’t Cool” by Koda Kumi featuring Fergie.
I think it should be changed to “Fergie featuring Koda Kumi.”

The egg tart from China Town was yummy and it’s cheap for only 22 pesos. I’ve tried the egg tart from Lord Stow’s before, it was the best but it’s expensive and tiny. This egg tart tastes almost the same and much much bigger.

(I’ve got a Big hand)
Isa nalang natira. I was supposed to post pictures of “Yema” from EngBeeTin but my friends finished all of it in less than 2 minutes. The yema from EngBeeTin was the best yema that I’ve ever had.
I’m so in love with China Town now. They also have pirated and original DVDs of hard to find movies from Hong Kong and China but the sales person was extra grouchy so i didn’t buy anything. Another thing that made me fall in love with china Town was MXT’s Milk Tea. Their Hong Kong style cold milk tea was the 2nd best that I’ve ever had. (The best milk tea for me is from David’s Tea House, the 3rd best milk tea is from 7-11, the “Mine Shine” Milk Tea. hehehe.)
China Town smells a bit like Hong Kong but spiked with pollution and the stench from the nearby river (This is debatable because it hardly looks like a river, it looks more of a pit smothered with stinky black mud.)
But I love China Town. I’m going back this weekend to try MXT’s cream puff.
